CHARACTERISTICS
Huchuy Picchu Mountain is one of the three peaks surrounding Machu Picchu and offers hiking routes over the Inca city. This mountain is located next to the famous Huayna Picchu, on the north side of the archaeological site. The walk to the top of Huchuy Picchu is only approximately 1 kilometer. Because the route is uphill, the walk can take approximately 1 hour. Its summit is 2,497 meters above sea level. During the tour the visitor will be able to walk along stone paths built by the Incas themselves. You will also be able to appreciate the diverse flora of Machu Picchu. From the top you can get one of the best landscape photographs of the Inca citadel. The walk is suitable for all people.
